Mike C. sent me this photo of the LA basin taken from his deck on Saturday AM. The view is eastward across the LA basin from part way up Palos Verdes.
It was stunning while it lasted. By 13:00 the snow was visibly melting, the haze was returning, and it didn't look so stunning.
