Kings Canyon 6-23-13

One of the highlights of my summer was a backpacking trip in Kings Canyon.  Here we are on approach:

Four of us took the 46 mile Rae Lakes loop trail.

We overnighted in a campground near Road's End - the end of the highway on the floor of Kings Canyon where I saw this cool looking oak tree.  I thought it looked a bit like the eye and mouth of an animal.
